  1. In addition to the differences pointed out by those who responded before me, I'd add "Neither of them have anything to do with Travel to France, and therefore don't belong in this forum."

  2. Very little.

You have apparently confused Guyana, a former English colony with what used to be known as Nederlands Guyana but is today the independant nation of Suriname.

Worse still you have plaved this question the the Travel section devoted to Guyane ( notice the "e" at the end) which is an overseas department of France.

Guyana (formerly British Guiana) is not and has never been the same place as Suriname (formerly Nederlands Guyana) nor Guyane (the French overseas department). These are three seperate and distinct places.

  3. Both of them were under Dutch control at one time, Aruba still is a part of the Netherlands.  Guyana gained independence from Britain, it used to be called British Guiana.

  4. Both were settled by Arawaks before being colonised by Europeans.
