I've been on probation for 1 year and now I'm just waiting for the judge to sign the paperwork to release me from probation. But its been 3 weeks now and my probation officer keeps telling me he will look into it. Is there anything I can do to speed the process up?

  1. Contact the judge yourself.

  2. You can call the Department of Corrections probation and parole board for  your state.  Speak with your probation officer's boss.  That usually lights a fire under their butt.  Next, you may call the District Attorney's office for which the offense occurred... tell them your problem and advise that your constitution rights are being violated because you are being left on probation longer than your agreed term.  The DA will, usually, contact a judge for you and get the wheels moving.  Lastly, you can go (IN PERSON) to your P.O. and demand that they work your case or you will call the Attorney General's Office or the Office of your State Govenor and report this office to begin a Federal Review.  That will scare the pants off them (and p**s them off).  Either one you choose to do will get some progress I bet.  Hope I helped!
