What do I do about a fuzzy substance that seems to be taking over my patty pans I planted.?

The squash get no bigger than the size of a quarter when they seem to be rotten inside. Is this mold or what and how do I get rid of it so that I can have squash?

You could be over watering or under watering.

OR

You could have vine worms - they get inside the vines and they stay inside eating. Nourishment can not get to the squash. Look for a small browned opening in the vine where the worm went in.

You can use Seven Dust but usually once the vine worms find you - they are hard to evict.
