First he beats up his mate to where she had to be taken out of his tank then started to give the zebra dianos a bad time until I took them out and replaced them with some small feeder goldfish which he seems to ignore. What's going on here and what can I do?This tank is over seventy gallons and plenty of room for other fish in it too.

  1. Angelfish are not generally community fish because they can get territorial and aggressive. Your best bet is to move your aquarium plants and decorations around frequently so it doesn't feel like that is HIS territory. It will give your other fish a better chance at not getting beat up.

I had a molly who picked his territory in my tank and moving things around helped a lot. Good luck!

  2. well don't listen to the first answer- flush him... it's animal cruelty.

Take him back to a pet shop if he's causing problems- they are notorious fin nippers- and can be very difficult fish- but please don't flush it it's a living creature

  3. I had the same problem with an angelfish that I had. He was in a 55 gallon tank but was always being mean or killing the other fish in the tank. I eventually took him out of the tank and put him in a smaller tank that I had set up with some goldfish. If you want to keep the angel fish I suggest putting him in a smaller tank by his self. Hope this helps.

  4. That's just their nature. Flush him is about all you can do.
