Question:

What do I do about dead pixels on a LCD TV?

I understand that manufacturers allow up to 6-7 dead pixels per brand new LCD TV. I hear that more dead or stuck pixels can occur as you use your LCD TV. How can you justify spending 1-4 thousand dollars on a TV that you know is going to lose pixels over the life of the TV?

  1. we have no choice. instead of sitting down and perfecting a technology for a tv, comanies are already onto the next thing. people want everything better and faster now. people get something then want something better in a year. so the companies answer peoples demands. its society thats causing it. people look at all their belongings as disposable. people dont care anymore about a tv lasting 10-12 years. people want something better than what theyve got. so companies keep on pushing technology. its a vicious cycle thats started over the past 5 odd years.

until people want a well built tv to keep for a long time, we wont see it. sorry to ramble, but thats what is driving this cycle of inferior technology. remember when you could buy a panasonic or mitsubishi tv and excpect 10 years of uninerupted good use. nope that era is gone. its up to people to WANT a well built tv.

call the manufacturer, they should replace the tv.
