I live in an apartment building and the neighbor above me is rude!, and for no reason, He always pays his rent on time, so we've never had any problems with him, he is just disrespectful and always has a mad look on his face when he sees us ( we were thinking maybe cause we are young or somthing). Recently he started cleaning his balcony and letting the water drip onto ours, we told him nicely about it, and he got PISSED! and said he didn't do it, and we were just like okay well just letting you know. THen he did it again one time he thought we both left but my boyfriend was still home, and saw him dumping the water on our balcony again. So my bf went to go tell him, and he said if your balcony is dirty we can get someone to clean it, again he was on the defensive, and got real mad and said "well I thought you were gone and blah blah blah" again we just left. We called the Owner of the building, our boss, and he came to talk to the old man, and the old man AGAIN got mad, and told him off, and My boss told him, if he did it again he is gonna get a 60 day notice to vacate.

Anyhoo EVERYTIME we leave or arrive, the man stares at us from his window!!! ,Its so creepy and it bugs the h**l out of me!!!! What should I do to make him stop? I can't stand it. we have never done anything to him!!.

  2. Yikes-  sounds like this tenent needs some personal/emotional help.

I don't think any of what you witness has anything to do with you at ALL.  He's got internal demons.

There's really nothing you can do about what he does.

He's not physically harming you so there's no leg to stand on.

Hopefully the landlord will not renew the lease for him, but if it's not an option, I'd think about breaking yours and showing the landlord you mean business if he doesn't interject.  This issue sounds like it will only escalate over time.

There's really nothing anyone can do about someone watching you from their own home.  Sick, but true.  (I too had a weirdo who lived above me at one point...it can get rather disturbing and "reasoning" with an imbalanced person is never going to work)

  3. sounds to me like you'll just have to ignore him...and honestly it could be a heck of a lot worse!
