I have been having Abdominal pains and migranes for 4 months now, and since then I was in the ER 19 times including last night. Everytime I go to the ER, they give me IV shots of Dilaudid and Zofran, and usually they give me Percocet or Vicodin to take home, and I've been on those meds for about 4-5 months what the Dr gives me in the IV with the Dilaudid., They been saying that each time I go there, they have been increasing the dosage of the Dilaudid because it gets less and less effective than the previous times, Of course they never mention how MUCH dilaudid they have been giving me, until last night, the Chief doctor came in to the Exam room where I was, and said they obtained my records from that hospital and show that I was there 19 times in the last few months and NO OPIATES today. I was soooo bummed out. They gave me Ultrama and Donnatol to take home, so a wasted ER visit. Now I think I have a really big problem because I am so addicted to the Dilaudid from the hospital and also addicted to Vicodin since I been taking about 3-4 a day since May. What do I do from here? The Pain management doctor i just started going to last week put me on Ultram/Tramadol but it's barely noticeable. I can't believe this is going on. I never smoked or never drank alcohol or ever had a history or problems with drugs until this recent pain killer issues I am having. I thought i'd share this with all of you, because I am going through bad withdrawals and that's just after 1 night ago getting Dilaudid IV.
