What do I do after the PTIN number?

I recently registered with the IRS for a PTIN number for baby steps in starting my own freelance tax prep business. However, in registering for e-filing on the IRS' site, for business type, what should I list myself as? I don't have my own firm, or work for a firm. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

  1. If you are planning to be a freelance tax preparer, then you will have your own business. You will be the owner and operator. The business type is sole-proprietor.

  2. If you work for yourself then you are your own firm.

  3. You are yourself.  Your business name is your name.  Are you sure you should be in business for yourself?
