  1. I travelled around Europe for a month and we never had a problem finding somewhere to stay. We spent one night on a bench in Paris, but that was our choice as we wanted to save money. We also spent one night in a train station (missed our train).

You'll be fine. If you are travelling to the larger cities you will often find lots of people standing at the stations trying to get you to book with them. Both from hostels as well as people renting rooms in their private homes. We stayed in one of those as well. Feels a bit weird to be in someone's house but it was cheap.

  2. Bus Station?

    Prison Cell?

    Airport?

    You're welcome.

  3. You can try hotel search in http://www.AmericaCheapHotels.com where you can read hotel details, reviews and comments, see photos and its physical locations through maps, details about important nearby locations ....

Best thing is you can compare the USA/worldwide hotel prices in any city in any country in your local currency.

You can find good deals because this compares hotel prices from 30 best travel websites. You can always get a cheaper price.

  4. I've traveled around Europe twice and there has always been a hostell somewehere close enough to get to. When I wasn't sure I just asked around at hostiles and hotels and when they couldn't accomodate em thery were usually able to get me to a place that could. they usually speak english anyhere up there but if you need any German translation i'm your gal. Goood luck! guten tag, rita

  5. You should be able to find something.  It might not be in your planned budget range, but you should be able to find something.

I managed to find something almost every place I went.  I wound up staying in a B&B in Ireland...paid a bit more than I wanted to, but it was nice!!!  I stayed in a YWCA in Edinburgh.  A church in London (in the crypt, they used to set up mattresses, and let young people sleep in the crypts of some churches.  Actually CHEAPER than most Youth Hostels).  Only once, in the middle of the winter, when I got into a town and their Youth Hostel, though listed as open for the date, was closed, and it was too late to get a train anywhere else, and there was nothing open anywhere in this small town, did I have to go back to the train station and try to sleep on the benches, with a couple of other youngsters in the same postion.  The police came by every hour an woke us up and kicked us outside, but as soon as they were gone, we went back in and laid back down on the hard benches.  Not a nice night of sleep, but, at 20, you cope well with those things.  I must say, I slept pretty well on the overnight train the following night!  :)

You will have a blast!  You will have conversation fodder for decades to come!

  6. My brother slept in ditches or the forest:  bad.  He then went to farms to work and get legal food:  not so bad, especially if they want to get rid of you quickly?

I have slept outside universities, and might have tried hospitals outdoors.  Some ride trains.  Avoid parks at all costs, you'll be lying down on 50 needles!  And you'll get hepatitis or worse, and robbed.  Enjoy, have fun!

  7. sleep on a bench. or airport. or train station. the world is full of places to sleep :)

  8. use priceline.com, although it may be risky because they pick a place for you at the price you are offering and you can't change that place..

or if you have a friend there, ask them if you can stay with them for a while. If none of those work, just wait until you can get a reservation then go.

but if your on the go from day to day then plan it all out before you go...

like book one day here and another day there... >___<
