We just moved into the neighborhood 3 weeks ago, and it's been nice and quiet. But the last 2 days, there has been a neighbor 7 houses down that has been blasting their music. It is horrible. We didn't spend all this money to move into another loud neighborhood. I want to know what steps to take??

  1. My guess would be to call the police and complain the next time it happens. The people won't know who called as far as I know. If someone complained about my noise, I'd be a little more careful from then on.

I'm sure you'll get many more answers just in case this was not useful. :) Good luck.

  2. You must make a police complaint. If others feel the same way you do, get them to also make a complaint. The police will go to the house and tell the residents to cut the noise or get a summons.

  3. call the police....especially when the neighbor is playing their music loud. or simply talk to them and ask them kindly to turn it down as they are disturbing others if they don't adhere report them to the police urgently

  4. Call the police!  7 houses away and you can hear the music!  Make a complaint.  Its anonymous so they won't know who made it.  You shouldn't have to deal with that.  I'm surprised their neighbors aren't complaining.

  5. call the police and complain.   you can also register a compliant with your landlord.  it takes so long for a landlord to try and evict someone, you are better off calling the police.  hopefully, they will stop being so inconsiderate.
