What do I do if i can't keep my Chlorine level up on my pool?

All I do is keep adding more, and more chloine to my pool. My levels just wont stay up! What do I do?

  1. shock it when the sun goes down, make sure your ph levels are correct, did you condition and stablize the water before adding shock? It also helps to float chlorine tablets in a floater.


  2. Check your conditioner, stabilizer or cyanuric acid level in pool water should be at least 30ppm.  Protects the chlorine from UV rays and allows it to live longer.  1-3ppm is the recommended level.

    Other recommendations about a floating dispenser are good information.

  3. Have you tried using tablets and the liquid chlorine? If youre putting chlorine in your pool everyday, then there might be something wrong with the pool, since the levels are still going down.  The best thing to do is call a pool service and tell them whats wrong and they can come and look at it the same day.  Thell test your water and check out your motor, and it should not cost more than $100 esp. if youre in Florida.
