Okay I cashed a $150 dollar check and with drew $300 dollars. I was shorted 20 dollars. I still have all the cash--and plenty of money in the bank to not be worried about 20 dollars. (if they accused me of spending it) I am really frustrated. I realize it can happen to anyone a, miscounting but thats not fair to me. Can I go in and dispute it? OR what should I do?

  2. Sure you can dispute it - if the teller was over (had excess cash) on the day it shouldn't be a problem.  The bank may have you sign something swearing you were shorted $20.  Or may not.

I've successfully gotten money back several times in these circumstances.  With very little difficulty.  It was, however, a branch that I had a longstanding relationship with.

  3. By all means go in and dispute it at your branch but, if you remain unsatisfied, write to the bank's chief executive or managing director.  Don't waste time with the complaints or customer services departments.  As the late Jean Paul Getty once said, "When in doubt, go straight to the top because the 'no' you get there can't be any louder than the one you get at the bottom."

  4. ok this might happen if you have a job they might take way some oney that normal if you bank that and  20 dallor is gone first you got to see if you own money from state a  like doctors aponimeant or  or own the pesented  money  or  car  or you berowed money from the bank thier might be thing you have to check befor  you think your short or whatever you should check to the bank ask them question about  the stae the car and more if they jip you off come back to me and ask me  alright
