What do I do in Mumbai, India?

I'm a 20 year old african american male, that has always been interested with Indians and there culture, hoping one day to study and learn hindi there. I want to purchase a ticket from Dec 19-Jan 9. I want to go not only to find a school, but to get a way a little bit experience something new and have a lot of fun, seeing that this is my first solo international trip. I am all about entertainment and night life, what things are there to do out there for a person that is my age? And does India encourage students from other countries to study there. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
