  1. Poke the eyes, punch the snout, or attack the gills.

Stay still when you see a shark, splashing around will make you look like shark's dinner.

if ur a diver or surfer, awoid wearing black or dark colours, it will make u look like a seal which is a shark's favourite dish. However, wearing overly bright colours or shiny objects will attact barracudas...XP

swim in a group, so yr chances of survival are higher!

  2. #1: NEVER go in a known shark-inhabited water area while you are bleeding. Sharks have incredible blood-sensing abilities and will follow the source. I don't mean to sound biased or sexist but to go by the side of caution women shouldn't go into these areas while they have their period.

#2: It's true that puncing a shark in the nose will deter it from attacking or it will at least lessen its aggrivation. What happens in this case is the shark's blood-sensing organs are disturbed for a while since they are located in the part that resembles a nose and therefore they won't be able to sense you for a while. During this time you can try to swim away or do something to increase your chances of surviving.

#3: Some people will say not to make a big fuss out of it but at least get someone's attention should you ever be attacked. The general signal people make for sharks is palms together over their head resembling a shark fin. If you're far out in the water people might not be able to hear you but they should at least be able to see you.

  3. Don't thrash your legs too much, don't let any bleeding cuts be exposed to the water (bandage them if that can't be helped), if you are under the water completely and one is coming head on try to land a punch on the nose it is very painful to them and they almost always swim off

  4. swim like h**l!!

  5. try to stay calm, don't be bleeding, and punch the shark's nose!
