  1. No flashy kicks, maybe a low lying kick here and there.

You said he's a boxer... focus on pulling out his feet.

I've had some pretty good results focusing on the feet of boxers.

If they can't stand up, they can't box very well.

It's difficult to answer this without knowing both of your skill levels and commitment.

  2. Watch, listen and relax. Calculate your distance very carefully. Weather a punch or a kick, as long as it`s effective and landed on the vulnerable part of the body.

Important not to underestimate your opponent.

  3. Is this a fight in a controlled environment? or a street fight?

Either way, this tip will be useful.

    1) Have a solid stance with strict defense. Measure distance first. Optimum distance vary in every type of opponent. Throw simple and quick attacks like a jab or a quick low kick if u can kick well enough. Are you getting the feel of it now... Are you getting your rhythm and the ideal distance fit for you? Good...

    2) Next, u gotta still throw those simple attacks but with more commitment. Your aim is to hurt him now with straightforward attacks. Throw your jabs, straights, and kicks with enough force to intimidate and make your opponent wary. Make him think that he will get hurt. But this time, study how he reacts or defends with your simple but forceful attacks.

    3) Ok now, if he still can't handle your simple attacks, then good. Maybe u r just too fast or too strong or both for him. If he gets hit almost everytime when you attack, just pick him apart with those. That way your not wasting energy. Tenderize him, you'll know when to end the fight as it gets along.

    4) But, if he slowly gets the rhythm and the mechanics of your attacks, he may now be able to defend or react effectively. If this happens, You may be ahead of him if you have already read his defensive style way before he is getting it. Remember No.2? Now, that you know that he reacts a certain way to your Jab, all you have to do is adapt! Now, is the time to mix it up. Throw combinations. Up, down, Left, Right! You can now use feints and certain body positioning to get what you want to achieve. The point is, you are now making somewhat advanced technics to hurt the guy! It should be easy because you're still fresh coz u did not waste energy earlier. Techniques are easy to pull off if you are not tired,

NOTE: Remember, there many approaches to a fight! This is what I usually use. But sumtyms I attack all-out from the very start. Sometimes, I fight in conservative way the whole fight. The key here is adaptability!
