  1. you can get him creamated or preserve it

but in the bible youre supposed to put bodies to rest so being on display wouldnt really be following that

it depends on your religion and what you feel you want to do with him

  2. Cremation. You can buy a beautiful urn to keep him in.

  3. I did cremation and I've just buried.

We wrapped her in tin foil and put her in a clear plastic shoe box and she is in our backyard.

I prefer cremation because I've told my husband when I die all pets ashes go with me.

  4. So sorry for your loss it is so hard I know. What I have done is had the animal cremated and put in nice urn and kept in favorite spot of his or hers in the house. Then after a good amount of time when I was ok with it I buried them at pet cemetary or in my yard. I also found making scrap book good way to remember and celebrate their life. Keep pics around to. God Bless

  5. Having him preserved costs a lot of money.

I don't think anyone can truly chose this for you. I am so sorry for your loss. I have two birds, and i know they are older and i have thought about htis too. I plan on burial, if it helps you at all. that would be my choice.

Remember, it's ok to grieve! No one has the right to tell you it isn't ok. There is no time limit for grief. It's ok that you loved your parrot and it was NOT just another animal. Getting another pet does not take the place of the one you lost either.

Good luck and again, sorry for your loss.

  6. You can do what I did, I got my bird cremated.

Sorry for your loss, I know How you feel.

Do what will make you happy.

  7. It's kinda up to you.

    Sorry

  8. I don't mean to be insensitive but do you know what caused your parrot's death?  And do you have (or will you be getting) other birds?

If you don't know the cause of your parrot's death and you have (or will be getting) other birds, I would suggest having a necropsy done to determine the cause of death.  You want to be certain you don't expose any other bird to some of the avian diseases that could be present (PDD, PBFD, Polyoma, etc.)

Necropsy is a decision you'll have to make quickly though because tissue begins to deteriorate immediately.
