We just bought a 50 inch LG flat screen plasma tv and while we were moving it in, we got some finger prints on the screen. What are some safe things to use to clean them off safely, might i remind you this is a $2,000 tv. Thankx!

  1. Read the mfg. instructions! Part of the answer lies in whether or not you have an anti-reflective coating on the glass screen. In any event , you can use a very soft, lint free cloth, like microfiber or even an old T shirt, slightly dampened with water. You do not have to buy some over priced, over hyped Monster product to clean it! Plasmas are fairly easy. LCD screens are a whole lot more delicate and more care must be taken.

  2. I recommend starting with a clean, dry cloth first. If they still stay on, try visiting the company's website to see if they have any recommendations.

  3. Spend another $20 more and get the Monster screen cleaner.  It's better than all the cheap stuff and comes with it's own micro fiber cloth.  Just spritz 2 or 3 sprays on the cloth (never on the screen) and wipe away.  If it's really dirty, might have to do it a 2nd time.  Then clean your cell phone and or computer monitor 'cause you'll still have more than enough with the 2 or 3 sprays!

Yes, it's a bit pricey but the bottle lasts and is good for all electronics!  When the cloth gets dirty, wash it with other things that don't have a lot of lint.  Get lint on the cloth and you'll have lint on your screen.  Do not use water, glass cleaner or anything else or you run the risk of permanently marking the screen.
