  1. Read on: http://www.wisegeek.com/what-can-cause-t...

  2. Rotten egg smell is either sulfur (most likely) or something in the line rotting away.  You can take off the faucet and clean it in vinegar or Lime away and see if the line near the tap is plugged up and see if that helps. But more than likely a water filter is needed. You can get the kind that goes on the faucet or a pitcher depending on your faucet set up.  Sulfur is safe in very small amounts. You might want to have the water tested to find out the level (before and after filtration).

  3. get a brita filter

  4. You need to get a water filter and stop drinking  your tap water. It's toxic and gross. I don't care if you live in a 1st world country, your tap water is still gross, unless it comes from an uncontaminated well.

    Your best option for healthy water is distilled water. Getting a home distiller will set you back a few dollars ($500.00) or so, but this type of water is delicious.

    Otherwise just buy distilled water from the store.

    Next best option-> purified water

    3rd best option -->spring water.

    Worst option -> tap water.
