What do I do when I have to learn with a strict and boring teacher?

I work very well with fun and kind teachers. This year I got assigned with a teacher that I heard is very strict and mean. What should I do?

Appreciate that you have a teacher to teach you. Some students don't get a teacher at all because there's no one to teach a certain subject.

Anyway just study like usual, and if you're having trouble with your current teacher, I would suggest going to another teacher [who teaches the same subject as your current one] and get help.

yea just be nice to your teacher and always pay attention no matter what

....last year i had that same kinda teacher and as soon as i walked in his classroom my eyes always got heavy Zzzzz

this year will be different though LoL

You should keep on her good side. Just pay attention to her and do everything that she tells you. Just do what you always do with nice teachers, but don't be too nice or else she'll get annoyed.

When it gets boring, that's when you need to buckle down and really pay attention, because that's when the important notes are being presented.

Study your tail off. When a teacher seems strict, the tests, in my experience, seem harder. A little secret: teachers are at most prepared for class like only one to two days ahead. So if you can preview the material before she teaches it, then you will always know what she is talking about.

Talk with students who have already had her. They may give some valuable info about her coursework. ex: She may be the type to give a pop quiz before a holiday, just to make sure no one skips.

don't go by what you hear from others, nobody will tell you what they did to p**s of the teacher and why the teacher's attitude is strict with them.  you judge her for yourself, but don't go in the class with negative attitude.  she might not be all that kids have made her to be.  

teachers are teachers, cuz they like to educate KIDS....so how can she be so strict and boring??
