Question:

What do I do when my computer doesn't recognise my device as a mouse when I connect it to the USB port? ?

The computer says that the unidentified device is installed but I want to use my mouse that I just plugged it!

The mouse is a ordinary mouse, not like razor that needs the CD driver to be installed first before it can be used. The mouse is used on my sister's laptop as well and it was just plugged and it could be used but on my laptop, the mouse doesn't work. I tried several mouses' but they don't work as well.

Thank you for reading and replying

  1. I am not a fan of the USB mouse. For example, I do not own a USB mouse. Many computer companies have forced this on us buy removing the old round mouse plug in and giving us the option to use only USB. In my book that is stupid because of what has happened to you and many others.

Try taking it out of one of the USB ports and plugging it into another. If that does not resolve your problem then you have a USB resource issue which gets very deep and complicated and I do not have the space at this site to help you with that. Very sorry.
