Question:

What do I do with all these cameras?

We've somehow managed to inherit 3 non-functional digital cameras. People keep giving our toddler their "broken" cameras. Actually, she also owns a couple 35 mm's, too! Anyway, what is the likelihood that these are fixable? Two of them have stuck shutters. The other one I don't know what the problem is. None of them have been dropped or gotten wet. Do people out there fix these things? If they're fixable, then I don't want to dump them in the toy box. Has anyone had theirs fixed and was it cost effective? Or am I better off to just let her play with them? She actually likes her $4 Little Mermaid pretend camera better (it talks).

  1. I got my olympus camera fixed and it cost me  150.00, I got it fixed because it was a very expensive camera back 4 years ago. I still have it, but I got a canon camera 1 year ago for 250.00. It is very expensive to get them fixed.

  2. A toddler? What does she do with them? Chew on them? :-)

Just let her play with her Little Mermaid until she's old enough to get a real camera.

  3. Camera repair isn't cheap. Around here, they want $150 just for a CLA.
