I bought two dwarf hamsters. The person I bought them from told me they were both female. I checked myself and looked up info on how to tell which gender they were and thought they were both female as well.

But two weeks ago, i found babies! 12 babies! They are almost ready to be weaned but I don't know where to put them all! No one wants them, and I only have one cage! I CANNOT take care of them myself, because I don't want hem and it was totally unexpected. The one who gave birth gave no signs of being pregnant, so i was not prepared! None of them were eaten or mistreated. What do i do??????!!!

  1. Give them away for free on PennySaverUSA.com and you can post an ad for free in your area. I do it all the time and it works.

  2. Put up an add on Craigslist for them, maybe someone will want one, or try to give them to a pet store, Just DO NOT LET THEM GO OUT SIDE.

  3. Take them to your local pet store, and see if they will take them, or give them away in the free section at craigslist.com.

  4. check in with all of your local shelters. i wish i could take them but i am already under fire from my parents with a syrian and two gerbils. i would seriously go to a shelter before online though. at a shelter, you know they are safe and they will go to a good home unlike online.

  5. Call around to all the different pet stores and animal shelters in the area, some will take in small animals and adopt them out.

  6. Feed them to a snake lol

  7. my friend bought a "male" hamster from petco and it turns out it was a she when she had five babies. ha. She took all of them to petco and they were happy to take them for her.

  8. Try petfinders.com

Or go to your local pet shelter, they will always take in any animal that can not be taken care of.

    Good luck!

  9. Personally... I would advertise online, put up signs and have people come to your house to sell them. If you really want to get rid of them you should give them out for free. That's what I would do.

    Hope this helps!

  10. Ask the pet store to take them back; they lied to you!

  11. Buy one of those big plastic tubs that you can store stuff in and poke holes in the lid that is the cheapest way i can think of to take care of them sorry this happend to you.

  12. Don't dump them back at the pet store. Who knows what will happen to them. They may end up as snake food.

  13. I am sure your local pet store would be glad to take them off your hands. They might even pay you something. You could also place an ad in the paper or on craigslist to see if anyone wants any of them.

  14. buy a snake

  15. give them to me lol!
