  1. bermuda grass will go dormant in dry weather.  usually in winter and again in the middle of summer when it gets dry if it is not watered regularly.  It is probably not dead if it is yellow and when you pull on it it stays put.  If the grass on the other hand is grayish and when you pull on it it comes out easily in your hand, then it is probably dead, but bermuda is pretty tough and more than likely it is just dormant.  A good rain will bring it back to life.  It is excellent grass to have in full sun!  going dormant is its way of survival through drought which makes it drought tolerant, unlike st. augustine which requires constant watering.

  2. Not enough information to answer.  what area do you live, how is the weather, what type of grass do you have. Full sun or shade. Suspect bugs if any

  3. Pour concrete over it and make a patio .

You will look rich instead of dull
