What do I do with my mail?

I will be moving next week(from Maine to Colorado) but do not have a house yet...what do I do with my mail? Will they hold for me? Can I rent a box in Colorado?

  1. Coordinate with the next occupant of the place you are renting to temporarily hold on to your mail until the time of your claim.

Go to your local post office and fill out a form to have your mail stopped then forwarded to your new address.  Do not forget to alert all your mailer's of your change of address,  It's simple and does not cost a lot.  If you are receiving and Fed, State or Registry of MV mail it will not be forwarded...you must notify them of your COA.  Good luck...Happy New Year too.

  4. You can have your mail on hold for up to 30 days.  It can then be forwarded up to 1 year to your new address (though restrictions with magazines & packages).  You can do it online or at the closest Post Office.  

    You should be able to rent a box in Colorado, it will though depend on the availabilty in the area you are going to.
