So I thawed out a package of boneless sirloin pork chops to make us two dinner and it seems I have way too much, 3 lbs. there are like 4 or 5 left over. What do I do with them, cook them all? I don't think I can refreeze them.

  1. Yes, cook them and refrigerate.

Use them tomorrow in pork fried rice, diced.

  2. yes you can if you cook them up....get a box of shake and bake follow recipe on box....freeze left overs..

  3. Pull out two of them to keep real cold in your meat keeper.  In 2 days make another dinner of pork chops.

If you cook them different ways they will always feel like a new meal, pork is very flexible.  It's great cut up in stir fry, barbecue'd with salt & pepper or barbecue sauce, fried, sweet & sour, etc.  Very versatile meat.

You can take the rest of them and bake them in the oven in a baking dish at 350degrees covered in cream of mushroom soup mixed with 1/4 can of milk or water.  Pepper.  Onion slices if you like.  After about 1 hour check them for tenderness.  They should cook until they are very tender. Cool.  Once cooked they will keep in your refrigerator for about 4-5 days. Make rice or mashed or fried potatoes.  Use the cream of mushroom as gravy.

Next time you buy a big pack of pork chops separate them into small bags of 2 before you freeze them.

  4. Why not make a stir fry? Cut the chops into bite size pieces, cut up some onion, carrot, broccoli, etc. and stir fry in some oil. Add teryaki sauce, and serve over rice....

  5. Yes, cook them and then refreeze them. If you have time, make a few different varieties. You can slice them all and stir fry it, and have it set aside for lunches/dinner the next day.
