I found out about what kind of lizard I had on my hands. I'm thinking about keeping it. What and how often should I feed it? Please give a specific answer.

  1. If you found it outside, find out if it's legal to keep it first.  In many areas it is illegal to keep native species without a permit.

After that... warm side should be up to 95 degrees.  You want to keep it dry but provide a humid hide on the warm side to aid in shedding.  I'd suggest feeding small crickets first, but the gecko may eat mealworms, too.

I'd feed 3 times per week as much as he'll eat.  They stop when they're full, so you will figure out how much they eat at each sitting within a few weeks.

  2. care is identical to the leopard gecko. just feed it smaller prey. here is a link to a great care sheethttp://www.leopardgecko.com/emcare.html
