Walking one day I discovered what I assume to be a baby blackbird or crow. I took the little guy in my house and set up a comfortable shoebox fitted with a towel as cushion and a small bowl of water in which he can acess. I tried feeding him bread with syrup but he didn't eat it. I don't want him to die so what should I feed it, answers very, very much appreciated.

  1. You should take him back where you found him. He needs his mother and father.

  2. Go to your nearest pet store and pick up a good baby bird formula, and use a syringe to place a good sized amount in the bird's beak. As soon as you have done this about three or four times stop and gently wipe his beak so he doesn't suffocate, then call or look up the address of a local wild life rehabilitation center. Do not take the bird back to the wild, as it's parents will no longer touch it and it will die. Take the bird to a wildlife center ASAP.

  3. Go to the pet store and get baby bird formula! Feed him with a syringe

(you can get at the store) It worked for me!

  4. Try to feed him some worms. I did this one time to a bird that we found. Then after you feed it well take it back to where you found it. Check on it every hour or so to see if the mother could be near by. If the mother doesn't seem to be anywhere take it back with you and feed it some more. I'm not sure what you can do from there, sorry. But good luck though.

  5. normally milk. it would survive on but go and buy some maggots that you use for fishing and see if it would eat that, but you wil have to feed it and put it in its mouth, use gloves. otherwise phone a local bird sanctuary up and say a friend other wise they may take the bird off you
