If I bury a pice of technology in the ground will I have to cover it in plastic and steel/metal box or will plastic be enough?I want to leave it buried for up to a year and a half at most before I exhume it. I have my reasons for doing this (don't ask). And no, its not illegal or a murder weapon.

  1. Neoprene rubber, Maybe a pond liner.

  2. If you mean what protection do you need to give the equipment to prevent damage it depends where you bury it and how deep. If there isn't too much pressure on it or it won't be run over by by cars etc you might be OK with just plastic. Have you thought of a stainless steel of galvanised box with a rubber seal around the lid to keep the moisture out.

  3. ooo sounds exciting! I wonder what it is.... i love guessing. I bet it is like a DVD player and a DVD of your family holidays or something!!!! How sweet.

You have to do it for protection and so it does not disintigrate! It will get mould and stuff on it. I would put it in a big steel container as it will be

    1. lot more protected from the pressure fro dirt and stone around

    2. it stops the air getting in to make rust or mould or break the thing!

    3. stops water getting in (if it is fully sealed)

Plastice will not do this alone as it will bend and break. Just to be safe use steel. If possible! Good Luck!!
