  1. Here is a site that gives correct information as to the laws in your state. I am from Illinois, and I homeschool children I am not even related to.

  2. The Oklahoma Department of Education has several resources available to parents educating their children at home.

    Look at: http://sde.state.ok.us/pro/homesch.html

  3. The homeschool laws vary from state to state, and the Home School Legal Defense Association (HSLDA) is a good source for that information; the link is below:

Oklahoma is a very easy state in which to homeschool.  You should have no problems.

If you are looking for homeschooling curriculum; please click on the link below:

Also, there are many choices of curriculum, both Christian and secular.

    I hope this is helpful.

  4. Do you have guardianship of your grand kids? If not their parent(s) must agree. Other than that you have already been told about HSLDA so go there, then look around take your time find a program that is right for you and the kids something I suggest for all is to have the kids journal every day and make sure they include the date this gives you instant records and improves their hand writing. What ever you do make it fun.

  5. You've already been given information about your state's laws, so the next step would be to start thinking about curriculum.

I think you should start by thinking about your grand children's learning style.  You want to cater to their needs and strengths.  Here's some information on learning styles that may help:

There are many different ways to homeschool.  You do not have to make homeschooling look like public school.  Here are some different homeschooling methods:

I also think it helps to join a local support group.  This can provide you with the support you need to homeschool, as well as field trips and activities for your grandchildren.  Here's some information about homeschooling support:

    Good luck!
