  1. These days, about 80% of people end up getting jobs that have absolutely nothing to do with their undergraduate degree. That being said, I would definitely recommend marine biology - sounds like a perfect fit. There are even some schools that offer zoology majors! Also, if you get the opportunity, do an internship with a zoo during the summer to make sure that it's the right fit.

  2. Good choice! I wish I'd chosen something like that on any given day. Depending on how much education you want to get, majoring in Biology or Zoology is a good choice.

College: Courses in biology, microbiology, physics, zoology, botany, anthropology, organic and inorganic chemistry, biochemistry, and genetics are suggested or required in most animal-related degree granting programs.

Graduate School: A master's degree or Ph.D. in zoology, wildlife management, anthropology, or a similar field, or a DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) is required for many positions.

  3. Marine biology, Marine Animal Science, Veterinary Medicine, Animal Wildlife Management. Yes, do an internship or several.

  4. Zoology, or better, Ornithology or an emphasis in Ornithology.
