What do I have to worry about in regards to customs if I send baby clothes to Brazil from the US?

Taxes or customs delays? How can I make sure there is no problems?

  1. Make sure to remove the price tags and there's a green customs card (any post office in the world, it's an international regulation) make it as GIFT.

    they can still tax you, but with clothing happens a lot less.

    I buy stuff on the net all the time, have it shipping to a friend in CA who removes the tags and marks it as gift and mails it to me.

    Works most times.

    Once I had some 500$ of credit with Saks and got Ralph Loren polos, removed the tag and did that.. no problem at all.

    With books, only books you can send it directly.

    Don't even try with Eletronics, it won't work.

    But you can find baby clothes in Brazil of a very high quality. There are malls all over. They are just more expensive than the US.
