What do I look for in a good dog crate?

I know my puppy will grow, but I want him to be crate trained from an early age. What crate would be best for air travel? What are the recommendations for sizes? What is a reasonable price range? Should I take my dog with me to choose the crate? Thanks for any advice you can give!

  1. You want to make sure that there is a trey in the bottom.  My cousin has a husky, and (as you know huskies are hyper) he hopped the crate out of the room and into the nice room and chewed the carpet through the bottom of the crate.  And also make sure it has strong latches.  The husky also figured out how to open his crate so they had to get a new stronger one.

  2. a Large plastic pet taxi...what breed is the pup?

  3. get one that is a little bigger than that dog but if it is too big they will go to the bath room in there
