What do I need for my midi controller to work?

I'm looking at getting an axiom 25 midi controller but I don't know what all I need to make it work, like interfaces or sound cards or something. Please help!

this has usb,  you just connect it with a usb cord and it does midi over usb

then you get free stuff like vst host and search kvraudio.com for free vsti's and have fun all day long
