  1. im from the US also and i went to germany and austria in november and the hotels i stayed in had a few different plugs built right into the wall we didnt need the one we borrowed from my moms friend. idk if it was just bc we were at a good hotel or whatnot but they had them in the wall already and they had blow dryers so you prob dont need to waste space bringing one.

  2. You will need different adapters for England and Europe. They may be purchased at Travel stores, Radio Shack, Target, Wal-Mart etc. I am not familiar with the iPod charger's power requirements, check the label, it should tell you if it is dual voltage compatible, eg: 100-240volt 50/60hz. Most all electronics are made like this. If it is single voltage you will need a voltage converter but single voltage electronics are very rare.

  3. There are different ones, depending on what country you are going to.  (The prongs are different shapes)

You may be able to pick up what you need at a store that has travel things (I think I even saw them at Target) but the most reliable place would be at a AAA office.  One set that I bought had about 4 different ones with the appropriate country written on them...The other one I bought (I think at AAA) was one cube and had the different prongs on the sides.  Both worked great in the UK and in Europe and weren't expensive.
