  1. Basics:

manicure set with scissors, tweezers, clippers (never know if you will need to cut a hang nail, or get a splinter out, maybe time to tweeze eyebrows

band aides - again for hangnails, toes shreds bottom of pool, wounds

white strap tape - stronger than a band aid and if your shoes bother, that will hold in place

cotton- good to clean face, wounds, or protect an injury

applicators- good to use with alcohol to dry ears out if swimming to avoid swimmers ear

    mosquito replent- mosquitos

    sunscreen- sun

rubbing alcohol-good all purpose liquid to sterilize any manicure kit, for your applicator in the ear, open wound

    neosporin- treat your open wounds

if you are sunburned, your favorite sunburn relief medicine Solarcaine is a multipurpose medicine that takes care of wounds and sunburns

baking soda in small container 1/8 cup ( I love this because it can be a toothpaste whitener, or 1 tsp in a Dixie cup serves as an antiacid if your stomach bothers you.  Or you bring your favorite anti acid.  Baking soda applied to sting bites relieves instantly too. It also helps take a stain out of your clothing if you spill something.  A million uses.

if you are a female, and prone to yeast infections if swimming, then your over the counter creams. Once my sister-in-law needed this and the nearest pharmacy was taking an 1 1/2 hour ferry ride across the ocean and then to town.

I am not a worldly traveler but did live in a forgein country and this is what I took to the beach.

    Have fun.

  2. Bring your own regular prescription medication, insect repellent, antihistamines, and a pain med and anti-inflammatory.  Some people I know also bring products for upset stomach.  Bring along sunscreen as well.  My doctor always gives me a prescription for antibiotics when I travel so that if I am pretty certain I have an infection I can take them - I'm prone to certain infections.

  3. Expect to take everything.  Better safe than sorry.  Because they won't care about you.   Do you really want to "fight" with another countries bureaucracy and legalities and pharmaceuticals to try to get the meds you need.   Only to find that they cost 3x'''s the price and you have to wait 3 days to get it?    Aspirin at $25.00 a pill.

Or maybe they have everything there.

        Be prepared.
