What do I need to burn my own HD DVD's, besides the camcorder?

I know I need a DVD burner, but which kind? What else do I need?

Software that  can take your high definition video and burn to this drive,

Blank BluRay discs

and a BluRay player connected to a HDTV.

You can also burn VERY short (a couple of minutes) of AVCHD encoded video to a regular DVD - and the PS3 should be able to playback...

High definition video uses lots of space... regular single layer DVDs hold 4.7 gig; double layer DVDs hold 8.5 gig... BluRay discs start at 25 gig... for a very good reason...
