I would like to charter a boat to Bermuda and if possible Jamaica, Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

I would like to know:

What permissions do I need to charter the boat?

What kind of insurance do I need?

What are the immigration implications for returning for the US?

What kind of documents do I need?

What visas, if any do I need for five US citizens and 4 US

permanent residents?

Is there any kind of registration necessary?

Is there a threat of being stopped/robbed by sea pirates?

How are the weather conditions?

How long does it take to travel from south Florida and Savannah or Brunswick, Georgia to Bahamas?

Does anything change if I just go on a pleasure trip to nowhere (not land or call on any foreign port) and return to the US after several days?

How much fuel, food, and what kind of boat would you recommend to for travel just to the Bahamas? To Jamaica?

How long would it take?

What would be the best time to travel?

What is a website/place I can get more information?
