It's actually my moms. Does she only need her drivers license? I found online where she can print off her check in thing. So she will give the counter people that and her ID. Is that all?

  1. If she does not need to check luggage she may proceed directly to security with her home-printed boarding pass where she will need to show her photo ID (driver license).

You may bring a cheap bic-style lighter on the plane as well as matches. Please see the link to the TSA website for more details.

    Cheers.

  2. Your mom will need her drivers license or some form of picture id and her confirmation number or a printed copy of the voucher that is commonly available when purchasing airline tickets online. If your mom is traveling to or from someplace outside of the US then she will need her passport.

Common Lighters - Lighters without fuel are permitted in checked baggage. Lighters with fuel are prohibited in checked baggage, unless they adhere to the Department of Transportation (DOT) exemption, which allows up to two fueled lighters if properly enclosed in a DOT approved case. If you are uncertain as to whether your lighter is prohibited, please leave it at home.

  3. You only need the air ticket and the passport to check-in personally. Some airline have the online service for you to allocate your seat earlier (e.g window seat).

  4. Photo ID or passport
