I know ive already said enough to any one who knows what im talking about. whats the name of this contraption so I can go buy one! I'll be ok with matching up sizes I just want to know that name of the doo hicky. Thanks

  1. What you need is a hole saw "arbor".  The hole will thread on to the arbor and the arbor goes into the drill press. Arbors also have a 1/4" drill bit or pilot bit in the centre which should protrude out further than the hole saw to keep it centred on the material you are drilling into. Remember to keep the speed down when using hole saws, especially if you are drilling in to metal.

  2. I have 2 types of hoe saws... One type is interchangeable saws, I can go from 1 inch to big, mine has like a chuck/arbor that  goes inside the middle of the whole saw ans is held with allen head s***w that is attached the center drill.. Maybe you are missing the chuck/arbor...the others are fixed hole saws that are attached to the drill bit. Here is what my looks like. Hole this helps.... http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/504777...
