They seem similar but different. Normally you buy either an air compressor or a power (water) washer. I want to buy an air compressor, just wondering if it can be easily converted into a power washer.

  1. Sears sold a power washer gun a while back that would attach to a compressor and you have to hook up a water hose to it as well but it was only about 150psi.  Not to strong.

  2. Will not work. Air compressors don't create the kind of pressure a pressure washer requires anyway.  Even if it could be done(which I doubt), it would rust internally.

  3. A powerwasher does not use air assit to begin with..it is all hydraulic pressure from the hydraulic pump on it...About all you can use on a compressor to make a power washer will be the tires and the frame to mount the motor/pumps etcetera on.. Pressure washer needs no air tank

  4. An air compressor will not produce the required pressure needed to use as a power washer. And no it would probably cost more that buying the units separately.

  5. can't be done
