Like Degrees, credentials, and what would be the best school in california to do that?

  1. check with your local licensing agency.  but if you just want to work in a center like kindercare, you just need to be 18 and a high school graduate (or ged).  if you want to teach in a school you would need to have your 4 year degree in early education.


  2. A lot of preschools require that you have a few units (12 I think, but I'm not 100% sure) in ECE (early childhood education) classes. You can take a lot of these classes at local community colleges. A lot of quality California preschools are also requiring teachers to obtain a California permit from the state of California (It's similar to a credital like in elementary school teaching, but its for the preschool level). The permit can be obtained by showing proof of what classes and experience you have and there are different levels for example: associate teacher, master teacher, site supervisor permits.
