I have recently purchased an iPhone 3G in Taiwan. I have never bought a phone from an international country and I live in the US. I want to bring the phone back to the US to use, however I am not sure if the Taiwan settings will be applicable to use in the US. Do I have to go to an AT&T store in the US to get a SIM card to place in my iPhone? Do I need to do anything else to work my phone in the US that I bought from Taiwan? Please inform me if you know the situation I am in. Thanks!

  1. If it was without contract, just change Sim card. If not go to the shop you bought it and explain what you want to do. They should unlock it, and then you'll be able to use it in the USA.

  2. You need to transfer the Taiwanese Sim card to a US one,

  3. You will just need to have the SIM chard changed and the contract with the new place in the states.
