  1. passport

  2. You don't need a passport yet if you are driving, only if you fly. You need a birth certificate or proof of citizenship and some photo ID.

  3. Just bring a passport

and if your'e underage traveling without your parents you will need a note.

  4. I live in Windsor, Ontario and cross by tunnel into Detroit, Michigan at least twice a month.  At present (and this will be the same at all U.S./Canada crossings), to enter Canada by LAND you need government-issued photo ID (i.e. driver's licence) and your birth certificate (not a photocopy, tho).  You don't need a passport at present; they keep putting this off, until at least 2009 now, as the governments are toying with the idea of enhanced driver's licence maybe.  Anyway, I cross all the time, and the above is sufficient....no passport yet.  Just make sure you have both of the above.

  5. as Karen said if driving in to Canada you need government issued photo ID (license) and a birth certificate,,,,,passport is not needed til June 2009
