What do I need to get new registration plate?

I used to be a taxi driver so have the small plate on the car at the moment, but to get the car through a normal m.o.t i need to get a new long registration plate. Does anyone know what documents you need to take to get this? thanks

Depends on which part of the UK you live. In Scotland you take nothing the shop will make up any plate you want.
