  1. Short version: NSAIDS can cause ulcers and bleeding in your stomach which can complicate the surgury and medical alert bracelets are needed to tell medical personelle like ER doctors and nurses that you cant have a GI tube placed in, and stating that you had that surgury.

  2. yes no ng tubes.  I did ask my surgeon and he looked at me like i was bonkers.  He said they the emt's would probalby do what they need to do to keep you alive.  Wether you have a med bracelet or not

  3. ibuprofen is an nsaid. a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. they are basically used as pain killers, stronger than paracetamol (panadol and tylenol). they have some side effects,  such as bleeding in the gut. you having a gastric bypass means they performed surgery on your gut- also increasing the risk of bleeding. because taking nsaids would make it more likely to bleed (which is bad, in case you havent realised yet), they are saying that you should have a medical bracelet saying that you shouldnt take them. in a hospital nsaids are basic pain medications, the bracelet would show that you shouldnt be taking them, aiding the doctors/nurses and decreasing your risk of potentially fatal complications.
