What do I need to have to take my drivers test in New York?

I have been driving for about 6 months now and I want to take my drivers' test to get my license, I only have a learner's permit. I know I need a few things, but I mostly need to know where I can take my pre-licensing course in New York. I live in Marlboro New York and if someone could find a place nearby where I could take this course I would appreciate it.

You should look in your "yellow pages" under driving schools to see who offers the pre-licensing course.  After you complete the course you can sign up for your road test (you will need your permit and course completion certificate in order to sign up).  When you go to the road test, you will need  your photo permit, your course completion certificate, possibly the mv-262, a licensed driver and a registered and insured vehicle.  Check out the dmv website in NY.  It is www.nysdmv.com.  Good luck!
