  1. Guidance from hslda.org.  Don't go through the public school for information unless you want to be misled.

Depending on the age of your child you will need a suitable math text book.  From K-3 we use only flashcards to memorize the mathfacts.... complete instant recall.  After that we use Saxon level 54 --- one lesson every day (5-6 days per week) --- then level 65, 76, 87, Algebra 1/2, Alg. 1, Alg. 2, Advanced Math, at lastly Calculus -- all in the course of 12 to 13 years.  If the student gets into Physics they use college text books such as those from Cal-Tech.

    Writing instruments and notebooks.

    Dictionary, encyclopedia, pens, pencils.

    Computer and printer.

Plenty of really good books to read.

Check into the Robinson Curriculum!  It's what we have been using for 10 years.

  2. Go to http://www.hslda.org they have all the states rules on home schooling.

Missouri is one of the best states to homeschool in! If you're close to Jefferson city, join JCHE. Jefferson City Home Educators! A very helpful and active group. Good Luck!

  3. Missouri you don't have to do anything to homeschool. No notification, no attendance, no testing. You basically just teach at home. Good luck. I wish I was there right now. I am in California.

  4. are you referring to legal needs? or academic? please contact me for guidance at http://bethanylearningacademy.org
