What do I need to know to start playing Fantasy Football?

If you are a beginner than start by doing auto draft leagues, they are easy and less risky. also before signing up for a league check the owners history and see if you are literally out of your league.

heres what you need to do to win

look at fantasy rankings.

filled in your positions using the rankings

PRAY

pay attention in case your guys get hurt

watch the yahoo or whatever fantasy advice for pickups (depending on how many you have)

just listen to the experts and pay attentions to byes and injuries and you should be fine

YEA! you're going to play!!! We always do the Yahoo leagues. It's really best to do it with your friends...then you get to have a draft party and put some $$$ on it. It's way more fun to win money than bragging rights :)

You need to study up online on all the players!!! know before draft who you want.

Let's see...what else. Pick up one of those fantasy draft catalogs they sell...it's easiest to see all the players listed, plus they always have little tidbits and extra insight. Gosh...I don't know. I'll ask my husband later and edit some more :)
