What do I need to open a car insurance office in NC?

My mother and I want to go into business together. She already has an office in South Carolina. She is licensed, but I am not. What is the process of opening an insurance office, or where can I go to get this information?

You need a license to sell insurance, and a company willing to let you sell their insurance.

You get the information from the NC insurance department website.

well since you are not licensed that would be the first step to take.  you are not going to get companies to take you on as an agent if your not even licensed.
