What do I need to renew my license?

I am 17 and need to go renew my license. I understand that you need to bring your old license along with proof that you go to the school you are in.

Do I also need to have my social security card or birth certificate?

If I am missing anything, please let me know.

It depends on the state you are living in and what they require. In NJ they require 6 points of id. Having your birth certificate, social security card and old drivers license are worth a certain number of points in NJ and they also want you to have proof of address like a pay stub that has your address on it depending on how many points you need.

I don't know. Laws vary from state to state. Call your county bureau of motor vehicles and ask them. nobody can accurately answer your question unless they know what state that you live in. One could only guess.
